People gathered outside the ACT Magistrate’s Court at 9:00 a.m. to protest the secretive prosecutions.
Speakers were:
Luke Gosling OAM MP, Member for Solomon, ex-military, served in Timor-Leste
Professor Kim Rubenstein, lawyer and Co-Director of the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation at the University of Canberra,
Emeritus Prof John Minns, well known in Canberra for his advocacy over many years for justice for refugees
Tim Hollo, Musician, writer and Director of the Green Institute.
Chair was Mary-Anne Cosgrove from Humanists Australia
Apparently there were about 5 journalists in the court and the news was that they’re still negotiating out of court around what charges WK will plead guilty to and whether he’ll be subject to a jail term.
The next hearing is 29 March at 10:00.
